Fatalismus

Fatalism is a philosophical doctrine emphasizing the subjugation of all events or actions to fate or inevitable predetermination.

Fatalism generally refers to several of the following ideas:

That free will does not exist, meaning therefore that history has progressed in the only manner possible.[1] This belief is very similar to predeterminism.
That actions are free, but nevertheless work toward an inevitable end.[2] This belief is very similar to compatibilist predestination.
That acceptance is appropriate, rather than resistance against inevitability. This belief is very similar to defeatism.

Along this line, I have a splendid breakfast on my 15€, because the money isn’t enough anyway for paying the ferryman, so let us see what arrows Fortuna has left in her quiver (or was it Amor?!? Ah, whatever)

P.S.: for the Precise: I do not agree on the predeterminism thing entirely, we just tend to fuck up the general path towards the good pretty badly and hence need some correction so
etimes. Suggestion: go with the flow!
So the ferry costs 250€! It is certainly the most expensive way of travelling.
So, when I had no plan before, then I have NO CLUE what to do now! (like in Lissabon, but not desperate, just. ——!
But I met Jorge, who is from Meyico City, was working in Berlin and now does pretty much the same as me, but he has money (not much)! And he is a very fun guy to have around…
But I still have no idea what to do next, but my feeling tells me that this is going to be a work on patience.
So I am here now in Marcos Llope’s flat, after a very nice tapas and vino tinto evening he invited me to, recapitulating…
Yeah, basking – going to Port Amerika – putting up an add for the Canaries – back to the city – buying food – checking on a dude asking if the price for the carrots was the whole bag or the kilo – packing my stuff outside (tomorrow is Huelga general) being asked by the guy in the shop if … world trip… no money …giving me 2€… have a shower? … yeah … yeah … very nice … thank you…!

Unter Fatalismus versteht man eine Weltanschauung, die davon ausgeht, dass das Geschehen in Natur und Gesellschaft durch das Schicksal (lateinisch fatum) oder eine übergeordnete Macht (eine Gottheit oder ein Naturgesetz, eine kosmische Ordnung) unabänderlich bestimmt wird. Die Fügungen des Schicksals seien unausweichlich, der Wille des Menschen könne ihnen nichts entgegensetzen.

In dem Sinne gehe ich heute mit meinen 18€ kräftig frühstücken, für die Fähre reicht es monetarisch eh ned. Mal sehen, was Fortuna im Köcher hat…
Danke für die lieb gemeinten Angebote mit dem Frühstück, ich würde dann lieber in der Schweiz mal mit euch frühstücken gehen…

P.S.: Für Exakte: ich bin Semi-Fatalist. Eigentlich meint Es es gut mit uns, wir pressen mit unserem Willen teilweise einfach dumme Sachen durch, und das braucht ne Menge Korrekturkurs. Devise: Be water, my friend!

Dafür habe ich am Schalter Korge aus Mexiko kennen gelernt… Er arbeitete in Berlin als Musiker und Kameramann und macht nun ähnlich den Weg zurück nach Hause. Er ist ein lustiger Typ – und bleibt auch noch ne Weile hier…
Im Moment bin ich, wenn ich vorher ohne Plan war, ganz und gar ohne Plan!

Ich liege also nun auf der Couch im Gästezimmer von marcos, dem Ozeanologen, nach Tapas und vino tinto und rekapituliere ganz kurz die Situation. Also nach Jorge Musik spielen gegangen – an den Port Amerika – Zettel mit Anzeige für Gran Canaria aufgehängt – zurück in die Stadt – Einkaufen (morgen ist Generalstreik in Spanien) – Typ gefragt, ob der Preis für den Sack Karotten oder pro Kilo gelte – draussen mein Essen gepackt – der gleiche Typ von vorher fragt mich … Weltreise … kein Geld?… 2€ … danke… Dusche? … ne Bleibe für eine Nacht?… ja… ja… Danke… Hunger? … ähhh… ok… wow! …buenas noches!
