Daily distance covered: 120 NM
Today, after some more revision work on the main mast, including drilling holes, riveting, cutting and so on, we managed to install a new fix for the second boom (like this, they should not have broken in the first hand, but…) and a pocket for the winch handle.
The rest of the day, from my part, was spent practicing Bach’s Präludium in C major and afterwards an introduction into Chopin’s Nocturne. Somewhere along the road I realized that the lyrics of some of the songs are like a Swiss cheese – full of holes…
So practicing, practicing, practicing.
After a splendid rice and curry dinner we watched an episode of Faulty Towers and afterwards a part of “The Blues Brothers”. On my watch, I had a go on “The Incredible Hulk” as well. Since Pirates of the Carribbean is not available… 🙂
Tagesdistanz: 120 Seemeilen.
Wir haben heute erneut Instandsetzungsarbeiten am Boot gemacht. Das heisst, Löcher in den Mast bohren, Befestigung für einen weiteren Mast mit Nieten befestigen. Neue Halterung für die Kurbel anmachen. Halt solcherlei. Den Rest des Tages habe ich am Präludium in C-Dur von Bach herumgeübt und anschliessend eine Nocturne von Chopin in Angriff genommen.
Irgendwo im Prozess habe ich festgestellt, dass gewisse Songtexte etwa gleich dicht sind wie ein Schweizer Käse. Ich muss mich ungedingt hinter die Lyrics hängen, bin aus der Übung. Ich merke es auch nach zwei Stunden Gitarre spielen sind meine Arme müde und meine Hände verkrampft. Von jetzt an jeden Tag üben, üben, üben. 🙂

Am Abend haben wir eine Episode von Faulty Towers und anschliessend “The Blues Brothers” gekuckt. Kult!
