The days pass and I am working on my actual plan apart from meeting people and places I
knew 19 years ago, namely planning and engaging in literary tongue-to-ear combat with North America.
What has happened so far:
- I gave a couple of poems to the best and read them to my 71 old Christian housemother. She said that she liked my voice and that the stories were ridiculous.
- I went to the University to see whether they… (yeah I know, one day I’ll learn.)
- I found out that the actual cool bookshop I’d been books by the pound (again, 19 years ago) doesn’t exist anymore.
- I figured out that a poetry reading nowadays is called an Open Mic and the poets are no longer poets, but Slam Poets. Or else, please somebody fuckeeen explain this to me so I understand.
- I remembered that North America is a Car Country, not a bycicle or I’ll walk or take my skateboard country.
- I researched Bus stuff and understand now that buses are so cheap because they depart at midnight and take forever. So what to do?
- Skateboarding (and getting kicked off spots)
- Working on computer stuff I postponed forever
- Write some more daily bullship for Singapore (you still reading me, right?!) and …
- researching the Internetz for a car.
