We were invited joining a couple of couples on their Sunday hike to something like a Bacardi Rum Beach. Shortly before we returned from swimming, playing and talking, I had a really nice talk with Lucie and she told me that she had to quit playing guitar because…

a French Pancake Day
We got up after a full night sleep and no rain. Pancake morning (whereas the Brits only have their shrove Tuesday, the French really enjoy when the want to enjoy… (Who needs tradition when there is pLeasure). So we went to Marin, the little village and visited the local market. After having seen some excellent artisan products (and I really have to go over my books concerning necklaces and such stuff), Marlyne bought some fruit and I watched Maggie, a very pretty lady in her 50ies singing and working in an enchanting way. I smiled at her. She, caught in the act, smiled back and gave me a bag of bananas.
“Do you want some bananas?”
“I don`t have money”, I said mildly.
We left the market with a bag of bananas and some other fruit. The only difference, I didn`t pay for the bananas, Marlyne paid for her fruit basket. We made ourselves a nice fruit cocktail on the boat. Sweeeet. Thank you, Maggie.
Feeeein… Nebenbei ist es erdrueckend warm.
I won
I took apart two more winches. THis boat just has winches that outnumber crew members… I now know the marwal 35, 55 and 65. We went to the beach and swam in the most beautiful carribbean waters… Wow, it leaves me stunned. We met some more “Quebequois” to whom I was referred by Robert. They gave us some addresses of people going to St. Lucia next week. Tonight, we rocked another Monopoly. I won.`
Yeah! Bankenspiel. Wer gewinnt? Die Schweiz – natürlich!
Hiken
Today, we hiked – Canadian style. This means, we walked along main roads (my wanderer`s home turf), had a pretty stressed mother, a hard rain, some…

Today we went closer to the marina, dropped the anchor and went ashore. The rest of the day was at the pace of supermarket – meeting somebody I knew from Mindelo. So we met the Swiss couple from…

This morning, after my daily meditation, I was introduced to the more or less black art of winch maintenance. I took the thing apart in no time, cleaned it of salt and dirt, put on a year`s worth of grease and put it together in, … well … no time plus some time. In the end…

I sleep like a stone. In the morning, it takes me a meditation and a good jump into the waves to get back from Shambala. Today we left for the Petit Pitons, a mountain formation on St. Lucia. Hoisting sails, lifting anchor, wearing a life jacket. I move like a pro. Well, at least I know…
